Synappx Go will change the input on the display PC automatically, saving you time when sharing files.

Auto-input switching is supported in the following environments:

• Display is powered on
• Display PC is powered on and not in sleep mode

If the display in sleep mode, touch the display before sharing.
If the display PC is in sleep mode, touch the keyboard before sharing.
The NFC tap initiates auto input switching if the display is not already on the Go PC input.

If the display PC is not logged in, a message will appear prompting the user to log in. [View Image]

If an error occurs, switch the input manually and contact your administrator. [View Image]

1. From the home screen, select Share. [View Image]

2. The device will automatically load recently modified files from your configured cloud storage folders. Select up to ten files to download to the Sharp display. Then select Share. [View Image]

3. Hold the top of your phone near the workspace display NFC tag to begin downloading the file(s). Files will download to the display PC. [View Image]

4. The app will confirm download(s). Files will open on the display for viewing, editing and saving back to cloud storage sites. [View Image]

Notes:

• iCloud and local iOS file browsing utilizes the Apple interface, so screen images will differ.
• Google Workspace users also have the option to select Google files from Google Drive to open in the display PC browser for viewing and editing. See Set Share to Display Preferences (Google Workspace Only) for details.

2. Select the Folder icon to browse folders from configured cloud storage site(s). Then select the desired cloud storage service. [View Image]

3. Select > to open a folder. [View Image] Select the desired file(s). Then select Share. [View Image]

4. Hold the top of your phone near the workspace display NFC tag to begin downloading the file(s). File(s) will download to the display PC. [View Image]

5. The app will confirm download(s). Files will open on the display for viewing, editing and saving back to cloud storage sites. [View Image]

Note:

• iCloud, local iOS, and Google files cannot be searched. These files can only be accessed through the browse feature.
• Google Workspace users also have the option to select Google files from Google Drive to open in the display PC browser for viewing and editing. See Set Share to Display Preferences (Google Workspace Only) for details.

2. Select the search field at the top of page and type the search term. Select Search. Files matching the search criteria across configured cloud storage sites will be displayed. [View Image]

3. Select the file(s) and select Share. [View Image]

4. Hold the top of your phone near the workspace display NFC tag to begin downloading the file(s). File(s) will download to the display PC. [View Image]

5. The app will confirm download(s). Files will open on the display for viewing, editing and saving back to cloud storage sites. [View Image]

Once the cloud files are downloaded to the display PC, they can be edited. Saving back to the cloud can be done in two ways:

1. Select Save in the document program (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint) before closing documents. Content automatically saves back to the original cloud storage location. Select Close when finished.

2. Select Close and the document program will prompt you to save the changes. If desired, select Save to upload the edited file back to the cloud. Then, the file will close.

Notes:

• In both cases, closing the file will remove the content from the temporary storage on the display PC, but if the user does not select Save, then changes will be lost.
• iCloud, local iOS, and Google files cannot be edited and saved. These files can only be viewed.
• Read only files cannot be updated to the cloud.

Remote File Close
For files downloaded to displays for viewing or editing, you can close files remotely with Synappx Go. The following file types can be closed remotely: pptx, docx, xlsx, pdf, and txt. Use this feature if you leave the room before closing files or to minimise display contact.

Notes:

• Encrypted PDF files cannot be remotely closed.
• A list of supported files downloaded over the last two hours is shown in the remote close screen. After two hours from the last download, the files will no longer be available on the remote close screen. Files that have already been closed may also appear on this screen.
• Files downloaded for view only or that have already been saved via display interactions can be closed remotely without further display interaction.
• For downloaded files that have been edited but not yet saved, a dialog will appear on the display screen upon remote close requesting to save the changes or not before the remote close can be executed.

1. After downloading and sharing files, select the remote close icon (available on the Recently Modifed, Browse Folders, or Search screens). [View Image]

2. Files downloaded within two hours will display. To view a truncated file name, long press the name. Select the files to close or choose Select All or Clear All. Then select Remote Close. [View Image]

Files that were viewed only or already saved will be remotely closed without further action.

Multiple users (up to 5) can share content via their Synappx Go mobile apps. Each individual user follows the steps above to download and save files to cloud storage folders.

When multiple documents are shared by one or more users on the same display PC, all users' files are automatically saved back to their respective programs and cloud locations.

This feature allows you to open Google Drive files in a browser for viewing and editing.

Sharing Google Files to View and Edit

1. Select Google Drive files to share to display. Then select Share. [View Image]

2. Tap the NFC tag when prompted. If you selected the Prompt Me option on the Share to Display Settings page, you will be given the option to View Only (download) or View and Edit(open in display browser). Select a view option. [View Image]

3. A Synappx login window will open on the display with your username already entered. Select Log In. [View Image]

4. A Google login screen will open with your username. Select Next. [View Image]

5. Enter your Google password. [View Image]

6. After entering your log in information, a Chrome Incognito browser will automatically open and the selected Google Drive file(s) will open. You can now view or edit the files in the browser. Edits will be saved to Google Drive automatically. [View Image]

When the browser is closed, the connection to Google Drive is closed. User credentials and files are not saved on the display PC.

If additional Google Workspace users want to share Google Drive files to the display on the browser, they only need to select their Google Drive files, select Share and tap the NFC tag. Subsequent users do not need to log into the display PC browser as long as the first user who logged in still has the browser and at least one file open.

Multi-User Browser Sharing Notes

• Files shared by other users are temporarily shared with the first user in Google Drive and may be visible in the first user’s Recently Modified list. Temporarily shared files will be removed from the Google Drive share and Recently Modified list after the first user closes the browser.
• Read-only files cannot be shared or viewed by other users.

This feature allows you to open One Drive for Business files in a browser for viewing and editing.

Notes:
Read-only files cannot be updated on the browser. Supported file types for opening in browser:

• PDF

• PPTX
• XLSX
• BMP
• PNG
• JPG
• TIF
• GIF
• MOV
• MP4
• AVI
• WMV

Sharing One Drive for Business Files to View and Edit

1. Select OneDrive for Business files to share to display. Select Share. [View Image]
2. Tap the NFC tag when prompted. Select Open in Browser. [View Image] [View Image]
3. A Synappx login window will open on the display with your username already entered. Select Log In. [View Image]
4. A OneDrive for Business login screen will open with your username. Select Next. [View Image]
5. Enter your OneDrive for Business password.
6. After entering your login information, a Chrome Incognito browser will automatically open and the selected OneDrive for Business file(s) will open. You can now view and edit the files. Edits will be saved to OneDrive for Business. [View Image]

If additional OneDrive for Business users want to share files, they need to select their OneDrive files, select Share, and tap the NFC tag. Subsequent users do not need to log into the display PC browser as long as the first user who logged in still has the browser and at least one file open.

Be sure to close the Chrome browser when finished. When the browser is closed, the connection to OneDrive for Business is closed. User files are not saved on the display PC.

If you choose Open in Browser, when you log in to the same display PC, you will be logged in automatically. If you change your credentials or intentionally log out of the Google Chrome browser before closing it, you will need to log in again the next time you want to view and edit OneDrive files in the browser.

Multi-User Browser Sharing Notes

• Files shared by other users are temporarily shared with the first user in OneDrive for Business and may be visible in the first user’s Recently Modified list. Temporarily shared files will be removed from the OneDrive for Business share and Recently Modified list after the first user closes the browser.
• Read-only files cannot be shared or viewed by other users.
